Samsung has officially announced the One UI 8 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch Ultra, which gives users access to the flagship features of the Galaxy Watch 8 series. The main innovations include motivational health tools, an updated interface, and even more personalisation options.

What's new in One UI 8 Watch?

The update adds the following features to the Galaxy Watch Ultra:

  • Running Coach - a virtual running coach that helps you achieve your goals more efficiently.
  • Vascular Load and Antioxidant Index - indicators for a deeper understanding of the body's condition and the formation of healthy habits.
  • Multi-Info Tiles - widgets that combine health, weather, and other important metrics into a customisable view.
  • Now Bar - quick access to current tasks and applications right on the watch screen.

Samsung claims that the new interface is even more optimised for the small screen (whatever that means) so that important information is always at your fingertips.

One UI 8 Watch for previous Galaxy Watch models

The One UI 8 Watch update will be gradually available for previous Galaxy Watch models. The availability of features depends on the market, model, and connected smartphone. The manufacturer emphasises that these watch results are not intended to detect, diagnose or treat diseases and are for informational purposes only - consultation with a doctor is recommended if necessary. Some features and widgets may require a network connection or Samsung account, and their availability may vary by region.
