Apple introduced AppleCare One: protection for three devices for $20 a month
On 24 July, Apple is launching AppleCare One, a new subscription that bundles support and repairs for multiple devices at once. Instead of buying separate protection for each gadget, users can now connect up to three devices (e.g. iPhone, Mac and Apple Watch) for $19.99 per month. Each additional device will cost an additional $5.99 per month.
Here's What We Know
The plan covers standard cases like breakdowns, battery replacement, and also includes loss and theft protection (for smartphones, tablets, and watches). You can even subscribe for devices bought up to four years ago (headphones - no older than one year) - as long as they are in "good" and, of course, in good condition.
Apple promises that users will be able to change gadgets within the subscription (for example, replace the iPhone with a new one and continue to use the same plan), and everything can be managed through the app or website. The service is only available in the US for now, launching in other countries may come later.
