Valve has unveiled a redesigned Steam shop menu, which is already available to beta users and offers a more structured and clear interface for navigating through the key sections of the shop.

Here's What We Know

The developer aims to simplify access to the most frequently used categories and reduce the number of clicks when searching for games, promotions, products and information about them.

Major changes

  • The updated menu now includes groups by categories: popular, recommendations, new products, pre-orders, promotions and others;
  • improved navigation to sections such as sales, free games, and themed selections;
  • Valve says the structure is designed so that users don't have to make a lot of unnecessary clicks, and the sections they need are in plain sight.

How to access

The new menu is available in the beta version of the Steam client, to activate it, you need to:

1. Go to Steam settings
2. Open the "Account" section
3. In the "Participate in Beta Testing" section, select "Steam Beta Update" and restart the client.

Valve does not specify the timing of when the updated menu will appear in the stable version of Steam.
