In September, nine Redmi, Poco and Xiaomi smartphones will end their lifecycle and stop receiving security updates (list)

Xiaomi has added nine more models to the list of obsolete smartphones and will soon stop supporting them completely.

Here's What We Know

The Chinese giant announced the end of the life cycle of devices of the Redmi, Poco and Xiaomi brands, among which there are both once flagship models and budget smartphones.

Among them are:

  • Redmi A1;
  • Redmi A1+;
  • Poco C50;
  • Xiaomi 11T;
  • Xiaomi 11T Pro;
  • Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G NE;
  • Xiaomi Mi 11 LE;
  • Poco M5;
  • Redmi 11 Prime 4G.

Support for the Poco M5 will end on 6 September, while the rest of the gadgets will stop receiving security patches from 23 September, and their users are advised to think about buying more up-to-date smartphones as their personal data could be in potential danger.
