Authoritative portal MacRumors, citing an anonymous informant who, as he claims, has seen a promo reel of the iPhone 17 Pro, reported that the top models of 2025 will receive three important camera upgrades:

• A powerful telephoto lens with 8x optical zoom (vs. 5x on the iPhone 16 Pro);
• a new Camera app with advanced settings;
• an additional camera control button to complement Camera Control.
