Galaxy Tab to get Blender app for creating 3D on tablet
Blender has announced the development of a Blender mobile app for Android that will allow Galaxy Tab users to create 3D models on the go.
Here's What We Know
In recent years, Samsung has released several high-performance Android tablets, including the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. These devices feature powerful processors and large screens, making them ideal for running heavy-duty applications such as photo editors, video editors, or 3D animation software. However, Android apps that take full advantage of this hardware's potential are currently quite limited.
Blender is one of the best free and open-source 3D editors that allows you to create models, animate, sculpt, render, and simulate. The developers plan to first release the app for iPad Pro with Apple Pencil support, and then for Android tablets and other graphics tablets.
Blender notes that adapting the application to tablets requires changing the interface to make it more task-oriented and less overloaded with information. It is planned to improve input methods, workspaces, and application templates based on the regular version of Blender.
