The power of modern mobile processors has come close to matching that of computers of a decade ago. This has made it possible to run apps and games on phones and tablets that exist only for PCs. But when it comes to game emulation, Snapdragon has traditionally dominated. Due to the specificity of the drivers and incomplete support for the Vulcan API, Mediatek processors performed many times worse. However, times are changing. MediaTek Dimensity chips are finally demonstrating impressive performance when it comes to running PC games on Android.

There's no magic in the breakthrough; to achieve the performance gains, emulator developer GameHub has completely rewritten the DirectX 9 - DirextX 11 instruction processing for the Mali graphics core. According to GameSir, the performance on Mediatek processors is now equal to, and in some scenarios, even better than Snapdragon. The news also circulates information that GameHub developers directly interact with Mediatek to implement all driver functions.

The Mali graphics core is used not only in Mediatek processors. Google's Tensor also uses this graphics, so Pixel owners can rejoice too.

As more and more players are interested in running "big" games on mobile devices, the role of powerful mobile processors will only grow. Your mobile computer is capable of performing much more complex tasks than you usually give it.
