Postponements of releases and updates happen regularly and in most cases are justified by the need for additional time to complete the work.

But FromSoftware has found an unexpected reason, which probably sounds for the first time in the game industry.

Here's What We Know

Today (30th of July) Elden Ring Nightreign was supposed to get a major update 1.02, in which the main innovation will be a two-player mode, which was requested by the public right after the game's release.

However, the timely release of the patch was prevented by ... nature. Due to the powerful earthquake and the threat of tsunami Japanese developers decided to suspend work.

FromSoftware promises to release the update on 31 July after 10:00 (CEST). The authors thank the public for their understanding.

Elden Ring Nightreign is available on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
