Xiaomi has launched a special programme to provide free diagnostics and repair of devices affected by heavy rains in China. The service covers smartphones, tablets, laptops, wearable gadgets, audio devices, and even household appliances in areas officially declared affected by the disaster.

Only for China

Only residents of certain areas, including Beijing's Miyun District and several counties in Hebei Province. You can register from 30 July to 15 August 2025 through the Xiaomi Mall App (service section) or by calling the hotline (950816). When you visit a service centre, you will also be offered free Wi-Fi, device charging, and light drinks while you wait for the repair.

Why is this interesting?

There's a rule in marketing: if you want to be a leader, act like one. Xiaomi is one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in the domestic market. Launching such a programme is not about making money, but about social responsibility and image. This move shows that the company is serious about investing in its brand image and developing customer loyalty.
