On 29 July 2025, the official Apple Support account on the Chinese platform Weibo accidentally posted a promotional video for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 instead of material related to the App Store's parental control feature. The video was promptly deleted, but the screenshots went viral.

The error was probably caused by a malfunction in the Weibo client or social media management by a third-party agency that manages Apple and Samsung accounts in China. The wrong file may have been uploaded or an incorrect link pasted. Other speculations include an intentional mistake or a joke by an SMM employee.

The incident caused a flurry of reactions, with users taking a humorous approach to the situation: "Apple is advertising Samsung", "Samsung, log in, we know it's you", "Apple go home, you're drunk". The mistaken placement sparked discussions and jokes in the media and social media, and highlighted potential problems in the corporate processes of large companies.
