H2O Audio has teamed up with the Florence brand to release a limited edition version of TRI 2 x Florence sports headphones, timed to coincide with Molokai2Oahu - one of the world's toughest paddleboarding competitions. The new product is designed for those who can't imagine sport without water, waves and adrenaline.

Professional athlete Toa Pere took second place in the race using this model, which looks like a good "crash test" for the device. The TRI 2 proved its endurance not in the lab, but in a 32-mile crossing of the Kaiwi Strait, one of the most gruelling endurance events in the world.

Key features of the TRI 2 x Florence:

  • Bluetooth 5.3: stable and energy-efficient connectivity for training on land and water
  • 3 modes of operation: Bluetooth, built-in MP3 player, and hybrid mode (BT + MP3)
  • Memory: 8GB - about 2,000 tracks or 130 hours of music
  • Waterproof: IPX8 - up to 3.6m/12ft (unlimited dive time)
  • Bone conduction: allows you to hear music and ambient sounds at the same time
  • Compatibility: works with iOS, Android, Apple Watch, Garmin and other devices
  • Battery life: up to 6 hours in MP3 mode and up to 9 hours in Bluetooth mode
  • Charging: magnetic connector
  • Materials: flexible housing adapted for active and water sports
  • Extras: voice guidance, ability to switch between MP3 and Bluetooth on the fly.

Suitable for whom?

TRI 2 is the headphones for swimmers, surfers, sappers, triathletes and anyone who regularly gets wet for sport. They stay in place even under the waves and are not afraid of salt, sweat or accidental dives. And thanks to bone conduction, they don't muffle outside sounds - useful for those who train in open water.

The limited edition Florence x TRI 2 is priced at around $149 USD, available in a bright lemon colour at h2oaudio.com and brand partners
