The leak about satellite connectivity in Xiaomi Mix Flip 3 and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ came from a Chinese insider on Weibo under the nickname Experience More. Digital Chat Station has also confirmed that the satellite feature will be available only in special versions of the smartphones, not in all modifications.

Here's What We Know

An insider said that Xiaomi is already actively integrating satellite support into its devices. In particular, the Mix Flip 3 has models with codes 2603APX0AC (satellite version) and 2603EPX2DC (standard version), which probably belong to the Pixiu series.

Confirmation of support for satellite messages was found in the radio certification documents for the 25104RADAC model, which, according to insiders, corresponds to the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Satellite Edition.

However, satellite communication will not be available in all versions of the smartphones. A well-known informant at Digital Chat Station clarified that the feature will be available only in special variants aimed at users who really need to communicate out of the coverage area.

Satellite messaging allows you to send and receive SMS in places without mobile coverage, which is especially useful when travelling to remote regions or in emergency situations. Previously, this technology was available only in top models, so Xiaomi's move can be seen as an attempt to make it more widespread.
