According to Canalys, global smartphone shipments in the second quarter of 2025 grew by 3% year-on-year, indicating a steady market recovery. Samsung showed the strongest growth, growing twice as fast as the market (7%). The company achieved this performance primarily due to the success of its mass-market A-line. It is worth noting Apple's annual sales peaks in the fourth quarter, which should smooth out the company's performance for this year, but even compared to last year, Apple lost 2% of the market.

Main trends:

Demand for budget models remained high, especially in new regions where Transition is actively promoted. The Chinese market remains oversaturated due to competition and declining user confidence. Apple faced particularly strong pressure in China, which impacted its global results. Xiaomi was able to maintain stability thanks to its strength in the mid-range and budget segment and its operations in India and Latin America.
