The first gameplay footage of the new Virtua Fighter instalment surprised gamers with excellent graphics and concise visuals
As part of the annual EVO 2025 fighting game tournament, Sega and studio Ryu Ga Gotoku unveiled the first gameplay footage of the new instalment of the once famous Virtua Fighter series.
Here's What We Know
In the trailer of the game, which bears the working title Virtua Fighter Project, Japanese developers showed a training fight between two characters.
Published footage pleased fighting game fans with excellent graphics and detailed animation of each movement and blow. At this stage in the game there are no excessive visual effects and loud soundtrack, and judging by the comments, gamers liked this decision. But it is unlikely that the release version will have such a laconic design, although, of course, the authors may listen to the public's opinion and move away from the usual exaggerated brutal style of most fighting games.
More details about the new Virtua Fighter will be revealed during Tokyo Game Show 2025, which will be held from 25 to 28 September.
