David Pogue announces a new book: "Apple: The First 50 Years". The book is already available for pre-order, but the release will take place on 17 March 2026, as the company's anniversary falls in April 2026.

The author, David Pogue, is a well-known CBS journalist and Emmy winner who has been covering Apple for more than 20 years. The author is said to have interviewed more than 150 key Apple figures, including Steve Wozniak, John Sculley, Jony Ive, and many current employees. Pogue assures that the book will disprove some of the myths that exist around Apple.

While every writer touts their book, this approach has potential. No other company has so many myths surrounding it, and most studies of the company are centred on Steve Jobs. Despite his unquestionable visionary nature, there are many people who were treated terribly by him, and they have a lot to say about the flip side of the coin.

The book is already available for pre-order (hardcover for about $50, e-book for about $38).
