Poco M7 Plus is coming soon

It was reported that on 13 August 2025, Poco will add the new Poco M7 Plus to the M7 lineup. It is expected to have a large display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, a 7000 mAh battery, and a price tag of $170-180.

Expected specifications:

• Display: 6.9-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate
• Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 (6 nm)
• Battery: 7,000 mAh with support for 33W charging, and probably reverse charging
• Cameras: main - 50 MP + unknown module, front - 8 MP;
• Memory: 6/8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash storage
• OS: Android 14 with proprietary Poco UI (based on HyperOS)

According to Notebookcheck, the Poco M7 Plus is likely a rebranded Redmi 15 5G, with similar specs and design." Earlier, the Poco lineup included the M7 Pro 5G, which is similar to the base model but has a weaker battery life and screen refresh rate.

It is interesting that Chinese brands have started to put screens with a refresh rate of 90-144 GHz even in inexpensive smartphones, which makes the basic iPhone 16 hopelessly outdated.

Overall, the Poco M7 Plus is a successful mid-range expansion in the global market, which fits in with Xiaomi's overall strategy in recent months. The tactic is successful, with Xiaomi showing steady market share growth in the second quarter.
