BOYA Magic - AI microphone-transformer 4-in-1 with noise cancellation up to -40 dB announced

BOYA Magic is officially on the market - after a successful campaign on Kickstarter, where the project raised $290,000 - almost 30 times its stated goal. Such interest in the microphone is understandable: compact body, versatile 4-in-1 format and advanced neural network-based noise cancellation.

Here's What We Know

BOYA Magic is a 7-gram, 13mm-thick mini-microphone that can transform into four modes to suit any recording scenario, from interviews to TikTok recordings on the run: button mic, handheld mic, desk mic and camera mode. You can change the form in a couple of seconds - without unnecessary accessories and technical tambourine dances.

Technically BOYA Magic is wireless, but that's not the main focus. The main focus is the inbuilt neuro-chip, trained on 700,000+ noises and 20,000 hours of real recordings. It provides up to -40dB of active noise cancellation, with the ability to manually select the level (from a mild -15dB to full silencing). The manufacturer claims that the voice sounds "as natural as possible".

The microphone records in 48kHz/24-bits, with a dynamic range of 144dB and Signal-to-Noise Ratio of 80dB. There is a limiter, as well as Safety Track - a duplicate of the main sound with a lower volume level, in case of sudden shouts or claps.

Battery life - 6 hours on a single charge, plus another 24 hours with the case, which also serves as a microphone handle and remote control. Connectivity - via USB-C, Lightning or a 3.5mm adapter.

All of this is customisable via the BOYA Central app, where you can turn on noise modulation, change the EQ, gain level and other geek goodies.

The price, depending on the bundle - USB-C, Lightning, 3.5mm and accessories - starts at $90 on the official website or Amazon.
