The Browser Company: a browser with artificial intelligence now costs $20 per month
The Browser Company has launched its first paid subscription for the AI browser Dia: it costs $20 per month and provides unlimited access to AI chats and proprietary Skills. The company is also known for developing the Arc browser.
What it means:
Free users will now have restrictions on the AI function. The pro rate is only the first step. CEO Josh Miller stated that different tiers will appear in the future: from $5 to "hundreds of dollars" per month, depending on the set of functions.
AI functions can generate a summary of the content of large pages, ask questions about the context of a page or a separate paragraph, highlight important blocks of a page, search among open tabs by context (for example, pages related to holidays in the Mediterranean), etc.
Subscription intensifies the competition, as players such as Perplexity (Comet), Opera (Neon), Google, and Microsoft already offer hybrid environments in the AI browser market.
