Mafia: The Old Country, the long awaited crime action game, has been released, and many of them feared that the game would be a disappointment and repeat the sad fate of the third part of the series.

On the eve of Mafia: The Old Country release critics published reviews, in which they stated that the novelty has an excellent story, but suffers from the main drawback of Mafia: Definitive Edition (remake of the first part) - boring and banal gameplay.

Surprisingly, gamers were more favourable to the new project of Hangar 13 studio.

Here's What We Know

Mafia: The Old Country receives mixed reviews in Steam, but its rating is 82% of positive reviews, which is a decent result.

Paradoxically, but those elements that some praise - for others are a definite minus. These include a short duration (only 10 hours), similarity to the first parts of the series and technical performance (some people have the game works perfectly, but a number of users complain about poor optimisation and low performance even on top PCs).

However, most players agree that The Old Country perfectly conveys the atmosphere of the criminal world of Sicily in the early XX century and note the excellent voice acting both in English and in Sicilian dialect.

By the way, fans of the series will be pleased that Enzo Favara, like his predecessors, sometimes moonlighting as a loader and carrying crates.

Peak online Mafia: The Old Country has exceeded 32 thousand people, and the weekend is ahead!

The game is available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
