Xiaomi teases Poco M7 Plus, some of the characteristics have already been confirmed

The Poco M7 Plus announcement date is approaching, and Xiaomi has decided to stir up interest in the new product by releasing a teaser with information about the display. These specifications have already been circulating on the web, so we didn't learn much new except for another confirmation of the veracity of the leaks from Chinese informants.

What we learned from the teaser

The Poco M7 Plus will indeed have a large 6.9-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate and TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification (flicker reduction and blue light reduction).

What we know from previous leaks

• Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 (6 nm)
• Battery: 7,000 mAh with support for 33W charging, and probably reverse charging
• Cameras: main - 50 MP + unknown module, front - 8 MP;
• Memory: 6/8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash storage
• OS: Android 14 with proprietary Poco UI (based on HyperOS)

Poco M7 Plus is probably a rebranded Redmi 15 5G, with similar hardware and design.

Interestingly, Chinese brands have begun to put screens with a refresh rate of 90-144 GHz even in inexpensive smartphones, which makes the basic iPhone 16 morally hopelessly outdated.

Overall, the Poco M7 Plus is a successful mid-range expansion in the global market, which fits in with Xiaomi's overall strategy in recent months. We don't have long to wait for the new product, as the official presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, 13 August.
