Huawei Mate 80 RS will have a dual-layer OLED screen and titanium body
In the last generation (0Mate 70 RS), Huawei showed a dual-layer OLED display for the first time. The technology works exactly as it sounds - two independent OLED matrices on top of each other. Such a screen provides much higher peak brightness with lower power consumption and potentially has fewer problems with burn-in over time. Accordingly, Huawei will continue to use this know-how in the new generation of its flagship.

A flagship should look like a flagship, so Huawei uses titanium as the frame of the smartphone. It is lightweight, durable and corrosion-resistant. The back panel will be decorated with a ceramic cover.
As for photography, rumours suggest that the Mate 80 RS will follow the Pro version in terms of cameras. We are talking about a 50 MP sensor with a size of 1/1.28 inches - just like in the iPhone 16 Pro.
The smartphone is expected to be announced in October 2025.
