Recently the media reported that Activision's management does not see Battlefield 6 as a threat and is confident that the new shooter will not drag the audience of Call of Duty and will not interfere with the successful release of Black Ops 7.

The developers' confidence in the quality of their game is commendable, but the first Battlefield 6 statistics show that Activision may be wrong in its optimism.

Here's What We Know

We've already reported that the test version of Battlefield 6 attracted over 520k players and set a Steam record. However, the game from EA has achieved another impressive result: even being at the stage of open beta testing, it has surpassed all parts of Call of Duty by peak online in Steam, the maximum of which reached 491 thousand people. Therefore, Activision should not rely only on the Call of Duty brand, but should urgently take care of the quality of the next game and its content.

Recall, the second stage of open beta testing Battlefield 6 will be held from 14 to 17 August on all platforms.

Battlefield 6 release on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series is scheduled for 10 October.
