Xiaomi has announced the end of software support for nine smartphone models. This means that the devices will no longer receive operating system updates, security patches and new features. The decision affects both budget and flagship models released in the last few years.

The EOS (End of Support) list includes:

Budget models:

  • Redmi A
  • Redmi A1+
  • POCO C50.

These devices came out with MIUI 13 shell based on Android 12 and haven't received major updates in over a year.

Flagship models:

  • Xiaomi 11T
  • Xiaomi 11T Pro.

They ended their support cycle on HyperOS 1 with Android 14.

Mid-segment:

  • Mi 11 Lite 5G NE
  • Mi 11 LE
  • POCO M5
  • Redmi 11 Prime 4G.

These smartphones have also ended support on HyperOS 1 or 2 with Android 14, but have not received updates in recent months.

While the devices will continue to work, the lack of security updates leaves them vulnerable to threats. Xiaomi recommends considering upgrading to current models, especially for those concerned about data protection and software relevance.
