At the beginning of June at Summer Game Fest there was an announcement that horror fans have been waiting for - Capcom presented the debut trailer of Resident Evil Requiem. The Japanese developer didn't reveal any details about the game, but next week the public will get a new portion of information.

Here's What We Know

Geoff Keighley, the organiser and host of the gamescom opening ceremony, has revealed that a new Resident Evil Requiem trailer will be shown at the big show, which starts at 20:00 (CEST) on August 19, and is sure to generate a lot of interest.

Capcom has long confirmed that it will be organising a massive booth at the Cologne show, where visitors will be able to learn more about the company's upcoming titles and try out some of them in person, including a demo of Requiem.

Resident Evil Requiem storyline will be centred around Grace Ashcroft, a girl who was kidnapped by the Baker family in Resident Evil 7, and now she is an FBI agent and has to figure out what is going on. Players will return to Raccoon City, which was left only in ruins, and even visit the famous police station, where the events of Resident Evil 2 unfolded. It is known that there will be one more central character in the game, probably it will be Leon Kennedy.

When We Can Expect It

Resident Evil Requiem will be released on 27 February 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
