Acura has announced that it will sell the car from the 2026 film, with proceeds going to charity. The lot will premiere on 15 August at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, which will begin accepting bids from those wishing to compete for the right to bid.

Here's What We Know

In the early years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Acura cars often appeared in the frame, but the peak of the film career came in "The Avengers" (The Avengers). For the film, the company prepared a one-of-a-kind NSX Roadster, stylised as a concept of the second generation of the supercar.

Sketches were made in Acura's design studio in Los Angeles, and in metal (and fibreglass) the car was embodied by Californian company Trans FX. The project was based on a 1991 NSX coupe with 252,000 miles (405,555 kilometres). The roadster received a new body made of fibreglass and resin, lowered suspension, special seats and 18-inch wheels. On the screen the car looked spectacular, although the explosive growth of sales of NSX never happened.

The auction will be part of the NSX's 35th anniversary celebration during Monterey Car Week. There will also show a rare 1995 NSX-R, a 1999 Zanardi Edition anniversary version, and an RSX prototype - a precursor to Acura's future electric crossover.
