JackRabbit unveils a new class of electric vehicles - the Micro Hauler MG Doble and MG Renegade
San Diego-based JackRabbit has introduced a new line of compact electric vehicles called the Micro Hauler. These small but powerful utilitarian electric bikes are designed to carry people and cargo where a full-fledged bicycle or car is redundant.
The firstborn of the new MG platform are the MG Doble and MG Renegade
TheMG Doble is designed for two people, weighs 23.5kg and folds flat for transport. It has a 749W motor with a gear ratio for hauling loads and 10+ attachment points for equipment or luggage.
TheMG Renegade weighs 20kg, has a reinforced frame for larger riders and is designed to go uphill and off-road with cargo.
Both models can reach speeds of up to 32 km/h (38 km/h in off-road mode), travel over 77 km on a single charge, fold flat, have hydraulic brakes, a colour display and "mallet wheels" (a larger front one for off-road capability and a smaller rear one for comfortable seating). Drive - no pedals or chain. Compatibility with a multitude of accessories is achieved through the modular design and 10+ attachment points.
JackRabbit positions the Micro Hauler as an all-purpose vehicle: for warehouses, urban commuting, carrying gear, road trips, and for use with trailers.
The bikes come in one colour - Silver. Why only silver? Because only the coolest colours are allowed by the customs © JackRabbit.
The novelties are already available on the official website at the price of $2500.
