Google unveils 30-second video teaser of Pixel 10 Pro Fold, which clearly shows the design of the smartphone
Google has officially released a ~30-second video teaser showing off the Pixel 10 Pro Fold in the new Moonstone colour (silver-grey). The video shows the smartphone folded and unfolded, with design elements including the camera unit and a design similar to the previous generation Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
Announcement and release date
Made by Google is scheduled for 20 August 2025. The entire Pixel 10 lineup (10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and Fold) should be shown at the event. Direct sales of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold are likely to start not immediately: according to rumours, the global launch may take place in October (around 9 October).
Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold specifications (according to leaks)
- Displays: 6.4" external screen and approximately 8" internal "Super Actua Flex" display
- Chipset: Tensor G5, manufactured on TSMC's 3 nm technology, with an improved AI module
- RAM: up to 16 GB
- Cameras: 48 MP main; 10.5 MP ultra-wide-angle; 10.8 MP telephoto lens with 5-10x optical zoom
- Certification: IP68 protection is assumed
- Battery: about 5,000 mAh, support for Qi2 charging ("Pixelsnap")
Bottom line.
The transition of Tensor processors from Samsung to TSMC should improve performance and reduce heat. This should bring the company's smartphones closer to competing with the flagships of other companies. Although the new Tensor is not expected to beat the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2, the level of the current Snapdragon 7 would be acceptable.
It is also very interesting to observe how Google sees the development of foldable smartphones, as this market is rumoured to grow strongly in 2026. "The 10 will have to compete directly with the foldable iPhone, which will look like a fundamental battle of ecosystems. We hope that Pixel 10 Pro Fold will prove to be a worthy competitor.
