Microsoft and The Coalition studio are finalising the last preparations for the release of Gears of War: Reloaded - the remaster of the famous 2006 shooter.

The authors are not very active in attracting public attention to the updated version of the cult game, but still periodically release trailers and today they reminded about one of the main companions of Gears of War protagonist Marcus Phoenix.

Here's What We Know

The special video focuses on the charismatic fighter Augustus Cole, who is an integral part of the Delta Force and helps his fellow soldiers cope with the stress of fighting The Locust with the help of his jokes.

Thanks to updated graphics and increased resolution, August Cole looks much livelier and realistic than in the original game.

As a reminder, the most notable thing about this remaster is that Gears of War will be coming to PlayStation for the first time, marking an important step by Microsoft towards multiplatforming its flagship franchises.

The updated game claims the following improvements:

  • 4K resolution;
  • 60 FPS in the story campaign;
  • 120 FPS in multiplayer mode;
  • support for HDR, Dolby Vision and 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos and 3D sound;
  • VRR technology support;
