Samsung has seriously embarked on a long-term upgrade of its devices. If at first it concerned only flagships, now this policy has been extended to very budget models. So here is a list of models that Samsung guarantees seven major versions of Android and the same number of security updates.

The S24 series was the first to launch the 7-year support strategy. Galaxy S25 continues the tradition: smartphone owners will receive seven updates, including Android 22, and security updates until 2032. Qualcomm and Google have announced 7 years of support for certain Snapdragon devices, but the final implementation for a particular device depends on the manufacturer.
Modern phones don't become obsolete as quickly as they used to. In addition, Samsung needs to have some kind of competitive advantage over Chinese companies that sell their smartphones cheaper and provide even better performance (at least in terms of processor and battery). And it must be said that this is a good tactic - modern smartphones can easily live for more than 5 years, and the power of flagships is enough for basic needs even after 10 years.
