Apple Vision Pro 2 will be significantly more powerful and will be released very soon
The Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset did not show sky-high sales, but Apple is not going to stop. Rumours about the second generation of Apple Vision have been circulating for a long time. At first, it was claimed that the new product would receive the M5 processor, then Mark Gurman from Bloomberg claimed that the headset would still be based on the Apple M4, but in the end, code analysis points to the yet-to-be-announced Apple M5. The current generation of the headset is still running on the M2 chip.
Apart from the processor, Apple Vision Pro 2 is not expected to receive any other hardware changes. Perhaps the strap will change slightly for a more comfortable fit. The headset itself is expected to be released in late 2025 or early 2026.
There are almost no details about the M5 chip itself. It is expected to have a more powerful neural network computing module, but detailed changes remain unknown.
As for the veracity of macrumors' latest claims based on their code analysis, it is difficult to confirm or deny. Fortunately, the products they are talking about are due to be released in the near future, so we will have the opportunity to verify their veracity.
