Why it is interesting
After Valve gained success with its SteamDeck, there were many people willing to repeat this success. Unlike others, Valve did not interfere, but even helped third-party vendors by offering SteamOS (Linux with their proprietary windowing shell). However, Linux is not popular among game developers, and the vast majority of them release games only for Windows. So Velez tempts them to release a portable game console on Windows.
ASUS goes even further in this collaboration and produces a device under the Xbox brand for a reason. Microsoft has its own game store, as well as its own GamePass. So both companies expect to benefit from this synergy as much as possible.
