Gamers are in for a cool show - the spectacular hype trailer of gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 leaves no doubt!

Tomorrow - 19 August at 20:00 (CEST) - the grand opening ceremony of gamescom 2025 will take place. Traditionally, the organiser and host of the show Geoff Keighley promises an incredible spectacle and released a hype trailer to prove his words.

Here's What We Know

At gamescom Opening Night Live the audience will be treated to two hours of cool shows, colourful announcements, interesting performances and surprises.

The trailer of the event showed only a small part of the expected games, but what games! Ghost of Yotei, Resident Evil Requiem, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Ninja Gaiden 4, World of Warcraft: Midnight addon, Cronos: The New Dawn, The Outer Worlds 2, Silent Hill f and many other novelties!

In addition, gamers will be presented with the trailer of the second season of the highly acclaimed Fallout series, several musical performances with great compositions from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and will be delighted with the long-awaited news about Hollow Knight: Silksong.

The main part of the show will take place from 20 to 24 August in Cologne and will feature a record number of over 1,500 companies and will include Nintendo, Xbox, 2K, Bandai Namco, Bethesda, Blizzard Entertainment, Capcom, CD Projekt Red, Krafton, Level Infinite, The Pokémon Company, Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, Konami, Lego, Marvelous Europe, Netflix, Paramount, Sega and Tencent Games.
