Gearbox CEO: Borderlands 4 is such a cool game that you wouldn't be ashamed to ask $200 for it.

In May, eccentric Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford caused a wave of outrage in the gamer community by saying that "real fans will have no problem finding $80 for Borderlands 4". Later it became known that the shooter will be sold for $10 cheaper, but the developer sincerely believed that his game is worth much more.

And it has changed! Pitchford said that Borderlands 4 would have justified the $200 price tag. At the same time, the game designer noted that in an ideal world he wouldn't mind if the game was distributed for free so that everyone could get acquainted with it. But big business doesn't allow such generosity.

Well, gamers will find out what Borderlands 4 is really worth on the 12th of September - the game will be released on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series on that day, and on the 3rd of October it will be released on Nintendo Switch 2.
