Xiaomi is preparing a new LTE watch with a 930 mAh battery (remember when Nokia phones used to have 850 mAh batteries?) and eSIM support. This information was published by the popular Chinese informant Digital Chat Station.

Battery: 930 mAh is much larger than in conventional smartwatches, where the typical figures are 400-500 mAh (for example, Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro has 495 mAh). It is likely that silicon-carbon technology has reached watches.

The watch will use the "extra" battery capacity for constant LTE connectivity. It is very interesting to see the battery life of this watch if you do not use a mobile network.

Silicon-carbon technology has a higher electrical capacity per gram than traditional lithium-ion batteries. This technology can bring the most benefit to wearable gadgets that cannot afford to increase in size and weight. Undoubtedly, we will soon see how the increase in the electrical limit will unleash the hands of engineers who will be able to implement new and interesting functions that were not possible before due to the tight charge economy.
