Nintendo has already raised the prices of its products and services in several countries, but the new Switch 2 console hasn't been affected yet - it's being sold at its original price of $450. However, this situation may not last long.

Here's What We Know

Authoritative analyst Daniel Ahmad from Niko Partners agency is sure that Nintendo will be forced to increase the price of Switch 2. The company is forced to this decision by numerous economic factors, including inflation. But the main reason is Trump's tariff policy, especially in relation to Vietnam, with which Nintendo has a close business relationship, and the 20 per cent duty is already having a tangible impact on Nintendo's revenue.

Ahmad believes that Nintendo will keep the Switch 2 price the same for some time to come, right up until the Christmas holidays when console sales traditionally peak, but a price hike in 2026 is almost inevitable.

So if you're planning to buy Switch 2 - it's better not to postpone your purchase until 2026.
