Vivo X300 Pro will receive new cool Sony and Samsung camera sensors
Vivo has confirmed that it will update the camera sensors in the new X300 Pro. The Vivo X300 Pro is set to receive the Dimensity 9500 processor and will be announced in September.
Main sensor: Sony LYT-828 (or IMX09A)
Vivo has officially confirmed that the main camera will feature a Sony LYT-828 sensor: a 50MP sensor with a physical sensor size of 1/1.28″ and pixel size of 1.22 µm. This is an updated version of the LYT-818 (which was used in the X200 Pro), but with support for Hybrid Frame-HDR - a combination of Dual Conversion Gain and Variable Shutter, which gives a range of more than 100 dB. For comparison, the LYT-818 is only 86 dB. Additional features include UHCG (Ultra High Conversion Gain) to reduce noise in the dark, QPD (Quad Phase Detection) for faster autofocus and protection against bright flashes, which means that the module will allow you to get better photos, especially at night.
Periscope (telephoto)
Vivo provided fewer details here: a 200 megapixel sensor with a 1/1.4″ sensor is expected, probably Samsung HP9. This is a large sensor with a good resolution, so the zoom should be up to snuff. We also expect a new lens coating that reduces flare and distortion.
The rest
The third module is a 50-megapixel wide-angle, but the specific model of the sensor is currently unknown. It is likely to be a classic round camera module in the centre of the back panel, with ZEISS coating on the lenses for minimal optical defects.
