Audi has officially unveiled the second generation of the Q3 Sportback coupe-like crossover. The model received a design in the updated corporate style, updated interior and an expanded range of powertrains.

Here's What We Know

The novelty is built on the same MQB platform as the third-generation Q3 presented in June. The main external difference is a sloping and lower roof, thanks to which the silhouette looks sportier. At the same time the volume of the boot has not changed and makes 488 litres.

The appearance of the crossover is noticeably different from the predecessor. Q3 Sportback inherited LED optics from the new A6 Avant: thin headlights at the front and a light strip at the back. Another novelty is the illuminated Audi logo on the stern.

The interior is designed in the style of the latest models of the brand. The driver has an 11.9-inch digital dashboard and a 12.8-inch multimedia screen. Traditional paddle shifters have been abandoned: all functions - from turn signals to windscreen wipers and selection of driving modes - are now grouped in blocks on the steering column. Thanks to this, the automatic transmission selector has disappeared from the centre tunnel, making room for two cupholders and a pad for wireless smartphone charging.

The engine line-up is the same as the regular Q3. The base unit is a 1.5 TFSI with 150bhp, supplemented by a mild hybrid supercharger. Also available are a 2.0 TDI diesel (150 hp) and two petrol motors combined with all-wheel drive - at 204 and 265 hp.

In addition, a Q3 Sportback e-hybrid is offered with a 272bhp system. The plug-in hybrid is equipped with a 25.7 kWh battery (19.7 kWh usable), which provides up to 118 kilometres of electric mileage on the WLTP cycle.

Sales in Europe are scheduled to start in November 2025. In Germany, prices start at €46,450 for the Q3 Sportback 1.5 TFSI and €51,150 for the plug-in hybrid. Production of both versions will be set up at Audi's plant in Győr, Hungary.
