Helldivers 2 lands on Xbox Series: Sony's flagship game conquers Microsoft's console

A historic event in the gaming world has taken place: Sony has self-published one of its flagship games on the Xbox Series for the first time. Previously, this happened extremely rarely and exclusively through third-party companies, but times are changing and the giants of the gaming industry are leaning towards being as multiplatform as possible.

Here's What We Know

US console users finally got the chance to join the heated battles "in the name of Democracy and Super Earth" in Helldivers 2.

The popular co-op shooter is already available on Xbox Series with cross-play support, allowing users on all platforms to play with each other regardless of the device they choose.

Alongside its release on the Xbox Series, Helldivers 2 has launched a crossover event with Halo 3: ODST. The event will introduce A-35 Recon armour, A-9 Helljumper and a passive skill that reduces movement noise, increases the area of interest point detection and protects the player from leg injuries.

Weapons from the Halo universe will also appear in the game:

• MA5 °C assault rifle
• M6 °C/SOCOM pistol
• M90A shotgun
• M7S SMG submachine gun.

All of these will be available to players as part of the new Warbond.
