Samsung and Google are in no hurry to reveal details of the augmented reality headset, which they announced in late 2024 under the working name Project Moohan and in March 2025 is shown at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 exhibition in Barcelona.

The official release date of the gadget remains unknown, but in the media there was information about the developers' immediate plans.

Here's What We Know

Edition NewsWorks reported that the next presentation of the XR-headset will be held on 29 September as part of the next Galaxy Unpacked event.

Two weeks after that - 13 October - in South Korea will start sales of Project Moohan, where the cost of the gadget will be from 2.5 to 4 million won ($1800-2000), which is much cheaper than the Apple Vision Pro, which sells for $3500.

Samsung eventually plans to release the novelty on the global market, but it is not yet known when this will happen.

It is reported that by the end of 2025 the manufacturer will supply up to 100 thousand headsets.

Recall, the basis of Project Moohan will be a specially developed operating system Android XR, and high performance will provide Snapdragon XR2+ processor. The headset will have two micro-OLED displays with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and 12 cameras to track the user's position in space.
