From previous leaks of cases, it became known that Apple has prepared a new accessory for the upcoming iPhone 17 line, called the Crossbody Strap. Nothing was known except the name, so people tried to interpret the appearance of the accessory based on the name alone. Now there is a description of the mechanism and even an image of the mysterious device.

The new accessory for the iPhone 17 line, the Crossbody Strap, will have a magnetic design, as reported by insider Majin Bu. According to him, the strap has a flexible metallised core that provides magnetism along the entire length. At the ends, there are rings with opposite polarity, which allows the strap to be fixed without traditional clasps or hooks.

The first samples are made of braided nylon, a material similar to the Apple Watch sports bands. A silicone version is also expected. Production has already begun, and the accessory will be available at the same time as the iPhone 17 launch. Although the strap is designed primarily for iPhone 17 cases, it can also be compatible with AirPods Pro 3, which adds to its versatility.
