Xiaomi Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro may receive Snapdragon 8 Elite 2

A fresh insider claims that both the base model of the Xiaomi Pad 8 tablet and its Pro version may receive the same flagship Qualcomm processor - Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (SM8850). Traditionally, the Pro version has been distinguished by its more powerful hardware, but Xiaomi seems to be changing its strategic approach this time: the differentiation will be not in the chip, but in screens, batteries, and additional features. Both versions are likely to come with 8GB and 12GB of RAM, which will allow for good multitasking with powerful apps and games.

The Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro may have large batteries of over 10,000 mAh, an 11.16″ LCD screen with a high refresh rate. The standard version will receive 45W fast charging, while the Pro version will have up to 67W. The new products should go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2025.
