Brutal race Wreckfest 2 has received a major update: eight tracks and two new cars have been added to the game

THQ Nordic and Bugbear Studios continue development of the brutal racing game Wreckfest 2, which was released in Steam Early Access in March 2025 and received good reviews.

The developers focused on eliminating the main drawback of Wreckfest 2 - a critical lack of content.

Here's What We Know

The race received the third content update. The authors added two new cars to Wreckfest 2:

• American maslcar Switchback;
• European car Popper, whose design bears a resemblance to the legendary Volkswagen "Beetle" (Beetle).

The game features eight race tracks, seven of which are variations of familiar Wreckfest tracks and one completely new one.

It is important that the developers eliminated one of the most serious bugs, in which the degree of damage to different parts of the car depended on the performance and frame rate in the game.

Bugbear also reduced the loading time, made virtual rivals a bit smarter and added three difficulty levels.

The studio informed that the next content update will be released in October and will add two more tracks and several cars.
