A reputable insider has confirmed that the next Nintendo Direct show will take place in mid-September
More and more insider information is pointing to a new Nintendo Direct show coming in September.
A Switch Force informant recently hinted that a Nintendo Direct will take place on 12 September - the eve of the 40th anniversary of the legendary Super Mario Bros franchise and now another reputable insider has confirmed the information.
Here's What We Know
According to NateTheHate, the Nintendo Direct will indeed take place on 11 or 12 September.
He doesn't yet know what games will be unveiled at the show, but it's likely that a significant portion of the presentation will be devoted to Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, as it's the next big thing from Nintendo, whose marketing promotion has yet to begin, with the game due out before the end of the year.
It's likely that more ports of big-name Switch 2 games could be announced at September's Nintendo Direct, one of which could be Red Dead Redemption 2, as NateTheHate previously reported, but he's not sure if that's going to happen now - "it all depends on the arrangements between Nintendo and Rockstar."
