"40 per cent lighter and half the price" - an insider shared new information about the Air version of Apple's Vision Pro headset
Apple is not giving up trying to popularise its Vision Pro AR headset. At the moment it is a failed product due to its excessively high cost of $3500 and unobvious purpose.
In the network there was already information about the Air-version of this gadget, but it was reported that the corporation postponed its production.
Here's What We Know
Chinese analyst and insider Ming-Chi Kuo shared new information about Apple Vision Air.
He said that its release is scheduled for 2027 and the headset will be 40 per cent lighter than the current model and more than 50 per cent cheaper. The reduced weight will make the device more comfortable to use, and the $1750 price tag should attract additional buyers.
To reduce the cost, the manufacturer will reduce the cost of production of Vision Air, it is possible that the device will get lower resolution displays, fewer cameras for tracking positioning in space and will not support the EyeSight function.
Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that Vision Air shipments will reach 1 million units in 2027.
