At IFA 2025 in Berlin, Acer announced a new Swift Air 16 laptop, one of the lightest computers of its class on the market.

Here's What We Know

The laptop has a 16″ screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio and two matrix options: IPS with WUXGA resolution (1920×1200) and AMOLED with a higher WQXGA+ resolution (2880×1800), 120Hz and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space. The AMOLED version is ideal for those who work with graphics and for viewing media content.

At the heart of the laptop are the latest Ryzen AI 300 (Krackan Point) chips, including the Ryzen AI 3 330, AI 5 340 and AI 7 350 models. They feature integrated Radeon 800M series graphics accelerators and a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU) with up to 50 TOPS performance, allowing Windows Copilot+ features such as Recall, Studio Effects and Click to Do to be used locally on the device, without connecting to the cloud.

Despite its powerful hardware, the Swift Air 16 is lightweight, with the IPS version weighing just 990g and the AMOLED version weighing around 1.1kg. The body is made of magnesium-aluminium alloy, and the thickness ranges from 15.9 to 16.5mm. This makes the laptop an ideal companion for those who often work on the road or on the go.

The Swift Air 16 is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable working experience, including USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and a 2MP webcam with IR sensor and privacy curtain.

A 50Wh battery with fast charging support provides up to 13 hours of battery life.

The new product will be available in four colours - Light Silver, Fresh Blue, Steel Gray and White.

The launch of sales in Europe is scheduled for November 2025, and the starting price will be €999.
