Garmin has unveiled its new Fenix 8 Pro line of premium sports watches, which includes three models: the Fenix 8 Pro MicroLED, Fenix 8 Pro AMOLED (51mm) and Fenix 8 Pro AMOLED (47mm).

The star of the series is the model with the world's first MicroLED screen, which offers up to 4,500 nits of brightness, ensuring excellent readability even in direct sunlight.

Here's What We Know

The MicroLED model can last up to 10 days without recharging, while the AMOLED versions can last up to 27 days in smartwatch mode.

All models have support for Garmin inReach and LTE satellite communications, allowing you to send SOS alerts, text messages and make voice calls without being connected to a smartphone. This makes the watch especially useful for travellers, mountaineers and those who are often out of range.

There are also new training features: Hill Score assesses hill climbing ability, Endurance Score analyses overall stamina, Running Tolerance tracks adaptation to exertion, and Smart Wake Alarm and Evening Report help you plan your rest.

Fenix 8 Pro cases are made of titanium, protected by sapphire crystal and meet military MIL-STD-810 ruggedness standards. The watch is water resistant to 100 metres and supports all the usual Garmin features: maps, navigation, music, Garmin Pay and syncing with Garmin Connect.

Prices range from $1199 for the 47mm model with AMOLED display to $2000 for the MicroLED version.

Sales of all versions of the Garmin Fenix 8 Pro will start on 8 September 2025.
