PayPal is giving a year of Perplexity Pro for free: how to get a subscription for $0

PayPal and Perplexity have announced a joint promotion that will appeal to all fans of AI services. Until the end of 2025, you can subscribe to Perplexity Pro for a year absolutely free if you link your PayPal account as a payment method. And that's instead of the standard $20 a month or $200 for a year.

Here's What We Know

To take advantage of the offer, you need to follow a special link, log in and link your PayPal to your Perplexity account. After that, a free year of Perplexity Pro is immediately activated.

There are a few conditions:

• only accounts that have not previously purchased Pro participate
• the offer is available once per PayPal account
• at the end of the free year, the subscription is automatically renewed at the current price ($200 per year) unless cancelled.
• For PayPal accounts created after 1 September 2025, there is a 30-day delay before activation

The promotion applies not only to PayPal, but also to Venmo (US users only).

Why it matters

Perplexity Pro is not just a "slightly faster answer" but a full-fledged package with expanded request limits, priority processing, and access to new tools. Specifically, subscribers get access to the Comet AI browser with so-called agent commerce capabilities - searching and selecting items directly through AI.
