In the media there is often information about new gadgets that Valve is developing. This company is one of the most secretive and non-public in the gaming industry, but sometimes datamayners and enthusiasts unearth interesting facts.

Here's What We Know

One such find was information about the registration of a new Steam Frame trademark, which Valve recently implemented. The unrepresented item falls under the category of "Computer hardware and peripheral gadgets", but that doesn't make it any easier to understand the situation.

The community highlights two main versions of what Steam Frame could turn out to be:

  • TheDeckard VR headset, a mention of which was found in SteamVR files back in 2021;
  • a hybrid device codenamed Valve Fremont, which combines PC and gaming console capabilities.

Of course, some will also recall rumours about the Steam Deck 2 handheld console, but in this case we are hardly talking about it, as its release is not expected until 2028 and there is no point in documenting it now.

We're waiting for an official announcement from Valve.
