LEGO presented a new Ultimate Collector Series set, which will make the hearts of not only the fans of the cult constructions, but also of the no less cult Star Wars franchise beat faster.

Here's What We Know

Buyers are invited to collect the famous Death Star, which is one of the main symbols of Star Wars.

LEGO Death Star is not only the largest scale set in its series, but also the most expensive in LEGO history.

It includes 9,023 pieces, and the finished composition replicates key scenes from A New Hope and Return of the Jedi. The vertical slice of the Death Star features the legendary trash compactor, Palpatine's throne room, Princess Leia's chamber, the tractor beam control room, the shuttle hangar and other locations.

The structure is 52 centimetres high, 48 centimetres wide and 38 centimetres deep. Death Star will be completed with 38 minifigures, including Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Palpatine and two droids. LEGO Star Wars video game fans will easily recognise the Stormtrooper in the hot tub as well.

The Ultimate Collector Series - Death Star will cost $999, which, as we mentioned, is a record for LEGO.

The set will go on sale on 4 October, but LEGO Insiders members will have the opportunity to buy the build a little earlier.
