The new GLC EV: Mercedes has revealed its largest touchscreen ever
Mercedes-Benz has published the first official interior photos of the new GLC EV ahead of a full presentation at the IAA MOBILITY 2025 motor show in Munich.
Here's What We Know
The GLC EV is built on a new electric vehicle platform. It will replace the EQC crossover and will hit the market in early 2026. At the same time, the petrol GLC will remain in the model range and will be sold in parallel.
The main feature of the interior is a giant MBUX Hyperscreen with a diagonal of 39.1 inches, stretched across the full width of the front panel. It features exceptional clarity and vivid colours thanks to its high resolution and new matrix backlight technology with more than 1,000 individual LEDs.
The screen also features an intelligent zone dimming system that allows you to adjust the brightness of two areas of the display simultaneously using sliders. This means that key information is always clear and accessible, reducing distractions and enhancing travelling comfort. Mercedes-Benz has applied for a patent for this pioneering technology.
However, base versions of the GLC EV will feature smaller displays.
In general, the interior of the German brand's electric car is designed in a new style of "sensual purity" and includes a smoothly flowing centre console with wireless charging and cup holders. The illumination plays a functional role: for example, the air duct rings briefly change colour when the climate temperature changes.
